Discovery calls begin in April, and initial consultation appointments are available starting in August to coincide with our official practice launch.
You may Book a Consultation or Book a Discovery Call directly through our website.Appointment availability and timing may vary based on scheduling and, when applicable, insurance contracting status.
For patients planning to use insurance, please see our insurance FAQ for additional details.
What is a discovery call?
A discovery call is a brief informational call designed to help you learn about our care model, ask general questions, and determine whether the practice is a good fit for your family. It does not include medical advice or treatment recommendations. You can Schedule a Discovery Call anytime through our booking page.
Information for Dr. Blockman’s Former St. Luke’s Patients
I was previously a patient at St. Luke’s Integrative Medicine. Can I continue care with Dr. Blockman?
Patients who were previously seen by Dr. Blockman at St. Luke’s Children’s Integrative Medicine are welcome to request care in her new practice.
The new practice will begin seeing patients in August, and prior patients may request appointments now to secure availability.
Please note that this is a new and independent practice, and prior medical records are not automatically transferred. Additional information may be needed to establish care.
To get started, you may request an appointment through the Book a Consultation button on the website. If you have previously seen Dr. Blockman, please select an “Established Patient” appointment option when completing your request.
When can I schedule an appointment?
Appointments are available starting in August. You may request an appointment now through the booking link on the website to secure availability.
Scheduling and appointment timing may vary based on availability and, when applicable, insurance contracting status.
Will the care be similar to what I received at St. Luke’s Children’s Integrative Medicine?
Dr. Blockman brings a similar integrative and personalized approach to care, with a focus on comprehensive evaluation, thoughtful follow-up, and long-term health.
This is a new and independent practice, and care may differ in structure, setting, and available services. In this setting, patients may benefit from more flexible scheduling, including expanded telehealth options, and a more personalized care experience.
Visits are designed to take place in a calm and supportive environment, with flexible follow-up options that allow you to bring your child or attend on your own—whichever best supports your family’s care.
Will insurance or payment work the same way as it did at St. Luke’s?
No. This is a new and independent practice, and insurance participation and payment processes differ from those at a hospital-based clinic.
We are currently in the process of contracting with select insurance plans, and participation is not yet in place. Patients may choose self-pay options or request future appointments pending insurance contracting.
Details about fees, payment options, and insurance are available on our website and will be reviewed with you prior to your appointment.
How do I request my medical records from St. Luke’s?
You may request your records directly from St. Luke’s in one of two ways:
- Through MyChart, or
- By completing the medical records authorization form on the St. Luke’s website
When submitting your request, please ask that your records be faxed to MotherWit Integrative Medicine at 208-252-7676.
You are welcome to schedule your appointment now, even if your records have not yet been received.
Scope of Care
Do you provide primary care?
No. MotherWit Integrative Medicine is a consultative integrative practice, not a primary care clinic. We do not provide annual wellness visits, vaccinations, routine screening tests, or ongoing general pediatric care. Families should maintain an established relationship with a primary care provider.
Does integrative care replace my child’s pediatrician or specialist?
No. Integrative consultative care is designed to complement — not replace — your child’s primary care provider or medical specialists. We often collaborate with pediatricians, therapists, psychiatrists, and other specialty clinicians to ensure your child’s care remains coordinated, safe, and aligned with your family’s goals.
Do you provide urgent or acute care?
No. We do not evaluate or manage urgent illnesses or injuries. For urgent concerns, please contact your child’s primary care provider, visit an urgent care clinic, or call emergency services as appropriate.
What if I have an urgent health issue or emergency?
Dr. Brittany is not on call. For urgent or emergency situations, please contact your primary care provider, visit urgent care, or call emergency services.
Do you provide prenatal care?
We provide prenatal counseling, not prenatal medical care. Prenatal counseling is offered only to families who are already under the care of an obstetrician, midwife, or other licensed prenatal provider. You can learn more on our Healthy Baby Foundations services page.
Can we work with you if my child is already taking medication?
Yes. Many families we work with have children who are currently taking medications such as stimulants, antidepressants, or other prescriptions. We are not anti-medication. Our approach is collaborative and evidence-informed — we focus on expanding the toolkit through nutrition, lifestyle, mind-body strategies, and targeted supplementation when appropriate. Any decisions about starting, stopping, or changing medications remain between you and your prescribing clinician.
Are you trying to avoid or eliminate conventional medical treatment?
Not at all. Our role is to broaden the range of safe, evidence-informed options available to your family. While we frequently explore lifestyle, nutrition, environmental, and mind-body strategies, we also recognize that conventional medical treatments can be appropriate and necessary in many situations. Care decisions are individualized, collaborative, and grounded in safety, research, and respect for each family’s preferences.
Who is this practice not for?
At this time, the practice does not provide:
- Diagnostic testing or treatment for Lyme disease or PANS/PANDAS
- Primary care services
- Controlled substance prescribing
Insurance & Payment
Do you accept insurance?
We are currently in the process of credentialing and contracting with several insurance plans and anticipate being in-network with select insurers in the near future.
Plans in process include:
- Blue Cross of Idaho (including BlueCard out-of-state plans)
- Regence BlueShield of Idaho
- St. Luke’s Health Plan
- Select Health
At this time, we are not yet in-network. Patients who would like to begin care sooner may choose our self-pay option.
We are scheduling tentative insurance-billed appointments beginning in late August. While we anticipate contracts will be in place, participation is not guaranteed. If a contract is not finalized before your appointment, we may need to reschedule or discuss self-pay options.
Coverage will be verified closer to your visit, and we will reach out if any next steps are needed.
For plan-specific questions, please reach out via our Contact Form. For details about your benefits, deductible, or coverage, we recommend contacting your insurance provider directly. You can also review our Insurance & Self-Pay Options page for more information.
What if I don’t have accepted insurance?
Families who do not have one of the plans we are working to contract with — or who prefer direct care — are welcome to begin through a self-pay option.
We offer thoughtfully designed self-pay packages that support ongoing, relationship-based care and include both visits and between-visit support.
At this time, we are not offering guidance on out-of-network reimbursement. If this changes in the future, we will update our policies and provide additional information. To learn more about pricing and options, please visit our Self-Pay Packages page.
Are services HSA/FSA eligible?
Many of our services may be eligible for payment using HSA or FSA funds, depending on your individual plan and whether the services meet medical necessity requirements.
We recommend confirming eligibility directly with your HSA or FSA administrator before enrolling.
When is payment due?
Self-pay payments are due at the time of enrollment unless otherwise arranged in advance. If a payment plan is selected, the agreed-upon terms will be outlined at the time of enrollment.
Additional details regarding billing, payment methods, and policies are provided in your financial agreement.
What happens if I cancel my self-pay membership early?
If a membership is canceled before the end of the term, any services already provided may be reconciled based on our standard rates, and a final balance may be due.
Specific terms regarding cancellations, refunds, and any remaining balance will be outlined in your financial agreement at the time of enrollment.
Do you accept Medicaid or Medicare?
We do not participate in Medicaid or Medicare at this time.
If this changes in the future, we will update our policies and provide additional information.
Labs, Supplements & Treatment
How do labs work?
Dr. Brittany may recommend laboratory or biomarker testing to better understand your child’s unique biology and guide treatment decisions. Lab costs are not included in visit or membership fees. Families pay the laboratory directly or may use insurance if applicable.
Where can we purchase high-quality supplements?
Professional-grade supplements may be recommended as part of your child’s personalized plan. Families may also explore MotherWit Wellness, Dr. Brittany’s science-backed pediatric supplement company offering premium nutrient kits designed to support developing brains and bodies from prenatal life through adolescence.
Visit MotherWit Wellness.
Appointments & Communication
Do I need to bring my child or teen to every visit?
It is strongly recommended that your child attend the first visit, whether in person or via telehealth. After the initial appointment, attendance is at the discretion of the parent and may vary based on goals and visit type.
What should we bring to in-person visits?
We recommend bringing a few items from home to help your child feel comfortable and entertained during in-person appointments. Books, quiet toys, coloring supplies, or an iPad with headphones can be especially helpful.
While we do have a small selection of toys available in the office, familiar items from home often work best. This is particularly important for the first and second visits, which are longer and more in-depth so we can gather a complete history and create a personalized plan together.
How does provider messaging work?
Secure messaging becomes available through the patient portal once your first appointment is scheduled. We aim to respond to messages within 5 business days. Please do not use portal messaging for urgent or emergency concerns.
What if I need to reschedule an appointment?
We understand that schedules change and we appreciate as much advance notice as possible.
- More than 72 hours’ notice: You may cancel or reschedule with no fee.
- Less than 72 hours’ notice: A $100 cancellation or rebooking fee will apply.
Appointments can be rescheduled easily through the Patient Portal.
